What goes on an Atlanta Sound Mixer Rate?

Sound Mixer’s Labor Rate

The sound mixer works on generally for a minimum of hours a day for a standard rate. This prices on an Atlanta Sound Mixer Rate Card are usually a union negotiated 8 hour rate or an industry standard non-union rate for a 10 hour day.

For an IATSE commercial the current 8 hours is 843.03.

For Non-Union commercial 10 hours is 1,100.

Labor beyond initial block is 1.5x the hourly rate.

Sound Mixers Gear Rate

For almost all jobs, sound mixers provide equipment. Equipment can be billed ala carte or as a package. Usually there’s a base package that starts around $750.00 for commercials (lower for interviews) and includes the basic necessities for an average day. Add ons could include additional wireless, smart slate, IFBs and comms that are not included in the package rate.

Mileage and incidentals

Mileage is added at the GSA rate on a per mile basis to all jobs beyond 30 miles from downtown Atlanta on non-union jobs. All parking and tolls need also need to be covered. Per Diem is required for trips over 24 hours.
