Production Sound for Commercials & Branded Content

Production sound mixing for commercial and branded content

I’m Jimmy Gilmore, a production sound mixer based in Atlanta, working commercial, branded content, and broadcast sets across the Southeast — Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, and everywhere in between. 20+ years on set, with a client list that includes NBC, Apple, and Nike.

Commercials live and die on the day. No second takes because the location fell through, no “we’ll ADR it” when the client is flying home Friday. My job is clean dialogue and a crew that keeps pace — every setup, every company move, every turnaround.

What’s included

Every commercial booking comes with a full location sound package:

  • Recording — Sound Devices multitrack, isolated tracks plus live mix
  • Wireless — Lectrosonics systems with DPA, Sanken, and Sennheiser lavalier mics
  • Boom — Schoeps, Sanken, and Sennheiser microphones, boomed and planted
  • Sync — timecode lockboxes jammed to all cameras, digital slate available
  • Monitoring — Comtek receivers for director, agency, and client
  • Support — full expendables, batteries for 10-hour days plus overtime, all cables and adapters

Rates are published and transparent — labor and equipment priced separately, with clear cancellation and deposit terms. No surprises on the invoice.

Union commercial experience

I work union commercial productions and am experienced with IATSE-affiliated project requirements — paperwork, payroll compliance, and the pace that signatory producers expect. If your production needs a mixer who knows the union commercial workflow, that’s familiar territory.

Coverage area

Based in Atlanta, regularly working Nashville, Charlotte, Birmingham, and across the Southeast. Travel-ready for national spots — the package flies.

Fast turnaround

Short notice happens in commercial production. When the schedule allows, I can mobilize quickly — fully equipped, no rental delays, no missing pieces.
